“Tethered” 16” x 16”

-An explanation of this piece I wrote the day I created her:
“God provides for our dreams.
This morning during my quiet time I asked to be filled with the Lords creative spirit, energy, wonder, and passion as I set out to paint on our sailboat today. Slowly, ever since then an idea has been unraveling. I went for a walk and had a vision of an abstract piece using seawater and blues on raw canvas. I was invigorated. Then I went to the framer and got two of my abstracts framed and it cost the exact amount that I made this past weekend. God provides as we go. I’m realizing how much faith this takes and how silly I am to forget that He always provides. 
As I drove to the sailboat to execute the piece I envisioned, the song “tethered” by Phil Wickham came on and I thought wow that’s what I want to capture in this painting; The beauty of the sea and being tethered to Him at all times. My lifeline. I stepped foot on the boat and it was rocking. Wow I thought, another piece of the puzzle, I’ll use the rocking of the boat to spread the paint around.”
This is the end product that happened from all those thoughts and I’m so glad she is the final piece in my abstract collection. It was so special creating on the water and including sea water in the piece itself ✨
